About Our Dog Sled Trips

Overnight sled dog trip

Chilly Dogs Sled Dog Trips offers multiple dog sledding adventures. You can choose from an introductory ride, a morning or afternoon backcountry loop trip, a day trip, or a one- or two-night overnight trek. Our trips are hands-on, meaning you will learn how to harness and hook-up the dogs; you may learn how to drive the team, riding on the runners; or you may prefer to just sit back in a padded, enclosed sled, and enjoy the breathtaking scenery while having the ride of your life.

Upon your arrival, you'll receive our thorough orientation and instruction on how to handle, and, if desired, drive your own team of dogs. Then prepare to harness and hook-up the teams and head out on the trail with your guide. No previous experience is necessary.

Depending on the make-up of your group, we typically run 2 people (one person driving) to a sled, sometimes 3, if children are included. All of our trips include an orientation as to how the dogs live and how they are cared for and trained. The running time of a tour is dependent upon trail conditions, the size of your group, and the weight in the sleds. All of our trips are private. Your group will not be combined with any other group. Prices include all taxes, with the exception of tips for guides, which are optional. We also offer gift certificates and will gladly create a personalized gift certificate for you upon your request.

We know "a picture is worth a thousand words," so remember to bring your camera to capture the scenery, wildlife, and trip highlights. You will find there are plenty of photo opportunities along the trail. In this way, you can bring a piece of the North Country back home with you!
