Started guiding dog sled trips at the age of 13 and has logged well over 25,000 miles guiding trips since then. Has introduced thousands of people, young and old alike, to this sport that he loves.
Started hanging around with Jake back in 2006 and fell in love...with his dogs, too. Got married a couple years later. Together, Jake and Jess manage our kennel, coordinate the team assignments, and lead all of our dog trips and programs here at Chilly Dogs Sled Dog Trips.
Cora came here with her family on a couple dogsled trips and fell in love with the dogs! Now attending a local college, she has worked for Chilly Dogs in all four seasons. .
Former guide on Alaskan glacier dogsled tours, and at a BSA high adventure base. He is also a carpenter by trade, and many of our dogs sleep in houses built by his skilled hands.
She grew up working with animals (seen here with her horse, Comet), and is hanging out with us this year on her days off from her vet tech courses.
When Brian isn't driving a dogsled team or working on campsite improvements for the Forest Service, he runs full marathons portaging a 40-pound kevlar canoe. He even made the Guinness World Record book last year at the Ely Marathon!
JSR (or John, for short) hails from Boston. He has spent the last few years working as a wilderness guide in the Ely area in both the summer and winter seasons.
His nickname is "Farmer" because he grew up on a farm in Iowa. His constant smile and ever-positive attitude are contagious.
