Started guiding dog sled trips at the age of 13 and has logged well over 25,000 miles guiding trips since then. Has introduced thousands of people, young and old alike, to this sport that he loves.
Started hanging around with Jake back in 2006 and fell in love...with his dogs, too. Got married a couple years later. Together, Jake and Jess manage our kennel, coordinate the team assignments, and lead all of our dog trips and programs here at Chilly Dogs Sled Dog Trips.
Gave up the mechanic's life to come up north and be a guide. Spent all last winter on dog sled camping trips in the BWCA, adding to his more than 1,700 miles guiding wilderness trips in Ontario, Manitoba, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota.
Former guide on Alaskan glacier dogsled tours, and at a BSA high adventure base. He is also a carpenter by trade, and many of our dogs sleep in houses built by his skilled hands.
Has worked part-time for Chilly Dogs and even owns one of our retired sled dogs. In the summers, Drew works as a U.S.F.S. Wildland Firefighter.
